Monopoly is derived from The Landlord's Game, created by Lizzie Magie in the United States in 1903 as a way to demonstrate that an economy that rewards individuals is better than one where monopolies hold all the wealth and to promote the economic theories of Henry George-in particular, his ideas about taxation. The original game was based on locations in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States. As of 2015, it was estimated that the game had sold 275 million copies worldwide. Monopoly has become a part of international popular culture, having been licensed locally in more than 103 countries and printed in more than 37 languages. House rules, hundreds of different editions, many spin-offs, and related media exist. Players receive a salary every time they pass "Go" and can end up in jail, from which they cannot move until they have met one of three conditions. Money can also be gained or lost through Chance and Community Chest cards and tax squares. Players collect rent from their opponents and aim to drive them into bankruptcy. In the game, players roll two dice to move around the game board, buying and trading properties and developing them with houses and hotels. Maybe I always did that part wrong lol.Monopoly is a multiplayer economics-themed board game. I will say I like the way the bank pays the rent and the person who didn’t have the money has 1 turn before they have to repay or choose bankrupt. At that point, is there any strat left? You just collect money until you have enough to trade for a monopoly, add houses and bankrupt them. You can easily obtain via trade 1 of each monopoly to keep any AI from having a monopoly. Only time you pay more is if they have more than 1 of the suit. Yes, they will buy for more and sell for less so you don’t have to. Now same turn or next offer about 60-70% of the property’s value and they’ll sell it to you. Don’t buy any properties, bid $2 less than the property’s value & AI will bid to $1 less than its value and the rest will fold. As of now, here’s the easiest strat (self learned and I’m not usually one for best ideas). So try the AI, right? Quickly I realize the AI is predictable to the point of no fun. I don’t have time to play against other people. Please don't forget to Rate and Review Business, we aim to make it one of the best board games out there.Īny suggestions?
